Senior Tax Accountant

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT for a global manufacturing client in Oakland County.

REQUIREMENTS for the Senior Tax Accountant role 

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting 

• 4+ years of related Tax experience in either Public Accounting, or Corporate Tax

• Federal and State Tax Compliance experience

• CPA or MST preferred

• Exposure to Income Tax Accounting preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Tax Accountant role 

• Assist in maintaining tax calendar to effectively track statutory and internal due dates for all tax filings. 

• Evaluate book to tax differences related to fixed assets; utilize software to compute federal and state tax asset depreciation reports. 

• Responsible for preparing the Company s tax provision and related disclosures.  

• Research inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims. 

• Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and current tax developments.  

• Assist in calculation and review of payroll related tax issues.  

• Other duties and special projects as requested.

• Other Duties as assigned
