The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax knowledge and a passion for working closely with clients on both compliance and advisory matters. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
• Conduct year-round tax planning and advisory services for a diverse client base
• Research complex tax issues and communicate findings to clients in a clear, actionable manner
• Collaborate with clients to gather documentation, resolve questions, and ensure timely filings
• Support and guide junior staff through mentorship and review of their work
• Stay current on changes in tax regulations and apply them as needed
• Assist with IRS and state audits or notices, as necessary

Qualifications

• CPA license preferred or in progress
• 5+ years of public accounting experience, with a strong focus on tax compliance and planning
• Solid knowledge of federal and New Jersey tax laws
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake) and cloud-based tools like QuickBooks
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
