Senior tax accountant - Growth opportunity

Are you a seasoned tax professional looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond preparing returns? This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established wealth management organization that is expanding its services into the Southwest Florida market by launching a new tax practice in Estero.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant who is excited by the opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up. This individual will serve as the foundation of the new tax office — bringing technical tax expertise, strong client service skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Initially, this role will operate as a one-person office, requiring someone who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership of processes, and building strong relationships with clients. As the practice grows, this individual will have the opportunity to help shape the team, mentor future employees, and grow into a leadership role overseeing the tax practice.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review individual, trust, partnership, S-Corp, and other tax returns
• Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to high-net-worth clients
• Work directly with clients to understand their financial goals and provide thoughtful tax guidance
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Estero tax office
• Develop and implement processes, procedures, and best practices as the practice grows
• Collaborate with the existing wealth management team to provide a comprehensive client experience
• Stay current on changing tax regulations and identify planning opportunities for clients
• Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring future tax team members as the practice expands

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of progressive tax accounting experience in public accounting
• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
• A self-starter who enjoys creating structure and improving processes
• Leadership mindset with the desire to grow into a management role as the practice expands
