We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant - Tax to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax, public accounting, with a focus on real estate and tax. This role will require a deep understanding of tax regulations and laws, with an ability to research and monitor the impact on the business. The Senior Accountant - Tax will also be responsible for monitoring and forecasting capital expenditure reserves, preparing monthly cash flow needs and risk analysis, and assisting with regulatory filings and payments.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships, real estate, and individuals.
2. Research new and existing tax regulations/laws and assess their impact on the business.
3. Monitor and forecast capital expenditure reserves and identify any needs based on current and future projects.
4. Prepare monthly cash flow needs and risk analysis to ensure financial stability.
5. Assist in preparing construction loan draw requests and manage the disbursement process.
6. Assist with regulatory filings and payments, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
7. Analyze financial data and reports for accuracy and compliance.
8. Collaborate with the finance team to develop strategies for tax planning and compliance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
3. Real estate experience is a must.
4. Demonstrated ability to research and apply tax regulations/laws.
5. Experience with preparing work papers and financial reports.
6. Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
11. Knowledge of construction loan draw requests is a plus.
12. Proven track record of handling confidential information with discretion.
