Senior Tax Analyst

A Day in the Life:

As a Senior Income Tax Analyst, you will own significant components of a large and complex U.S. federal income tax compliance process, support ASC 740 tax accounting, and help drive tax technology and process improvement initiatives.

The starting salary for this role is $90,000, commensurate with experience.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare federal income tax workpapers, book-to-tax adjustments, and tax reporting packages for multiple U.S. legal entities.
• Prepare and review federal income tax returns, supporting schedules, elections, and related tax filings using Corptax.
• Manage assigned federal tax compliance activities to ensure accurate and timely filing of returns and related deliverables.
• Support quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and related financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare tax account reconciliations, return-to-provision analyses, cash tax forecasts, and estimated tax calculations.
• Coordinate federal tax payments, extensions, and filings with Corporate Treasury.
• Serve as a Corptax administrator, supporting system updates, annual rollovers, testing, user access, and data management.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance tax compliance and reporting efficiency.
• Develop and maintain standardized tax workpapers, procedures, and internal controls.
• Research federal tax issues and prepare technical analyses, recommendations, and supporting documentation.
• Support IRS audits and examinations by gathering information and preparing responses to information requests.
• Review work completed by external advisors or junior team members and provide guidance to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support tax planning, compliance, reporting, and business initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of corporate income tax experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both.
• Experience working in a large multinational or publicly traded company environment.
• Familiarity with Oracle, FCCS, OneSource Tax Provision, or similar financial and tax systems.
• Experience supporting tax technology initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, or workflow automation projects.
• Experience preparing and reviewing federal corporate income tax returns and related tax workpapers.
• Knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax concepts.
• Understanding of ASC 740, including tax provisions, deferred taxes, and tax account reconciliations.
• Experience with Corptax or similar corporate tax return software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve tax-related issues.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, audit, and tax teams.
