SENIOR TAX ANALYST - Corporate OPENING DUE TO PROMOTION! Excellent career opportunity with our client, an international industry leader. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for income and franchise tax accounting, planning and compliance. Will contribute to tax projects, the implementation of process improvement and the integration of technology. Responsibilities: Preparation of the US federal and state income and franchise tax returns, estimated tax calculations, and estimated tax payments. Prepare monthly income tax provisions based on IFRS accounting standards and maintain related tax accounts in the general ledger. Assist with the development of tax accrual projections as part of the strategic financial planning and budgeting process. Maintain and reconcile tax fixed assets and depreciation. Research questions and issues raised by the business regarding federal, state and local taxes. Help the sales and property tax team solve complex issues. Act as a business consultant on all matters of tax compliance including income, franchise, sales, property and payroll tax issues, including providing guidance as to the interpretations of various sections of the tax law. Respond to tax notices issued by various tax authorities. Assist with tax audits initiated by various tax authorities or internal control. Assist with large research projects and other tax-related projects.
