Contract: 5 months – likely to be extended with possible conversion to full-time

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Senior State Tax Analyst Manager to work with our highly visible international container shipping and logistics clients. A background in preparing corporate income tax returns for federal and state jurisdictions is needed.
Senior State Tax Analyst- North American Market (NAM)
Job Description
Senior STATE Tax Analyst for the Regional North American Market Tax Compliance Team to support income tax compliance, income tax accounting, special projects, FATCA analysis and audit support.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare corporate income tax returns for federal and state jurisdictions and associated processes
FOCUSED ON STATE TAX AND COMPLIANCE and e-filing.
• Prepare partnership federal and state annual tax returns and associated processes.
• Compute income tax provisions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis providing rate reconciliations and deviation explanations
• Calculate current income tax payable roll-forward schedules including reconciling to the general ledger tax accounts.
• Maintain & calculate accurate deferred income tax work papers.
• Gather supporting documentation to compute quarterly tax estimates
• Maintain tax fixed asset books for federal and state filings
• Respond to tax notices & compile supporting documentation for tax audits
• Develop and document methodology for calculating permanent adjustments such as FDII, BEAT and GILTI.
• Responsible for FATCA Compliance and maintaining W-8BENE forms and W-9 forms for all units within and out of the US
