Job Summary:

The Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Reporting is primarily responsible for supporting global income tax reporting under ASC 740. This role plays a key part in the Company’s quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures, as well as U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance. The position has exposure to both U.S. and non-U.S. tax matters and works closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares key components of the quarterly and annual global income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including related footnote disclosures and supporting schedules.

• Assists in the coordination, management, and review of non-U.S. tax provision calculations prepared by internal teams.

• Supports preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and U.S. international income tax returns.

• Contributes to tax department initiatives, including process improvements, automation, documentation, and internal control enhancements.

• Develops and maintains strong relationships with finance, accounting, and other business partners to facilitate efficient information flow and understanding of business activities.

• Maintains effective internal controls over tax reporting and compliance processes in accordance with Company policies and SOX requirements.

• Monitors tax law developments and assists with assessing potential impacts on tax reporting and compliance.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

• CPA preferred, but not required

• Advanced degree (MST, JD/LLM) preferred, but not required

Years and Type of Experience:

• Two or more years of progressive tax experience, with a focus on income tax reporting and/or compliance.

• Experience supporting a multinational corporation and working with both U.S. and international tax concepts.

• Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) and/or large corporate tax department experience preferred.

• Experience with the OneSource suite (Income Tax and Tax Provision) preferred.

• Experience with data and analytics tools such as Alteryx and/or Power BI preferred.

• Demonstrated experience managing or contributing to projects with competing deadlines.

• Solid foundation in U.S. income tax concepts and ASC 740, with a strong desire to continue learning and developing technical expertise.

• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.

• Developing skills in areas such as conflict resolution, change management, and continuous process improvement.

• Must be located in the Charlotte, NC area or the surrounding areas. 

• Must be comfortable commuting and working in a hybrid work arrangement.
