    Description

    Title: Senior Tax Associate, Real Estate
    Location: Irvine, CA (or Orange County, CA) – hybrid (50% in-office)
    Salary: $80K–$122K base (DOE)

    Overview
    A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support real estate-focused clients. This role offers a mix of tax compliance, research, and client advisory, with opportunities to contribute to planning strategies and team development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S- and C-corporations
    • Apply knowledge of partnership taxation (Subchapter K) in client engagements
    • Identify, research, and resolve common tax issues
    • Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for client optimization
    • Assist in developing tax strategies aligned with client goals
    • Contribute to improving service delivery and internal processes
    • Support practice leadership with planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives
    • Mentor and coach junior team members

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field
    • 2+ years of public accounting tax experience (U.S. compliance/consulting)
    • Experience working with multiple entity types
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and build client relationships

    Preferred

    • Master's in Taxation or related field
    • CPA or progress toward certification
