    Senior Tax Controversy AttorneyOur Tax Controversy Practice represents individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in disputes with federal, state, and local tax authorities. We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Senior Tax Associate with 3+ years of experience to join our growing team.Position OverviewAs a Tax Associate, you will work closely with experienced attorneys on complex tax controversy matters. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a high‑impact legal area with mentorship and growth potential.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in representing clients in federal and state tax audits, appeals, and litigation.Draft legal memoranda, IRS correspondence, and Tax Court petitions.Conduct legal research on the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, case law, and IRS guidance.Support the preparation and negotiation of offers in compromise, installment agreements, penalty abatement requests, and other tax resolutions.Assist with collection due process hearings, trust fund recovery penalties, and innocent spouse claims.Interact with clients and government agencies in a professional and timely manner.Maintain and organize case files, documentation, and legal records.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law and in good standing with at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Maryland preferred).3+ years of legal experience, preferably in tax controversy, tax law, or litigation.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.LL.M. in Taxation or CPA license is a plus, but not required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
