Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Lead and manage tax engagements and related client projects.
Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients.
Coordinate tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.
Develop and nurture long-term client relationships.
Identify client needs and recommend value-added solutions.
Review complex tax returns, tax accruals, and technical tax matters.
Supervise, mentor, and develop Tax Seniors, Staff Accountants, and Interns.
Manage engagement budgets, realization, utilization, and project profitability.
Monitor accounts receivable and engagement performance metrics.
Develop business proposals and participate in client presentations.
Generate leads, develop referral sources, and support firm growth initiatives.
Assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and practice management.
Develop and deliver internal training programs.
Manage staffing and resource allocation across engagements.
Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
Support implementation of new service offerings and practice initiatives.
Participate in firm marketing and business development activities.
Maintain strong technical expertise in tax matters and industry trends.
Collaborate closely with Partners and firm leadership.

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA or other relevant professional accreditation required/preferred
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
• Experience managing complex tax engagements and client relationships
• Strong background in tax compliance, tax planning, tax research, and consulting services
• Experience reviewing complex individual, partnership, corporate, and pass-through tax returns
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing tax professionals
• Strong business development experience, including generating leads and securing new clients
• Experience managing engagement profitability, budgets, realization, and utilization metrics
• Proven ability to oversee multiple engagements while maintaining exceptional client service
• Strong project management, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with partners, clients, and internal teams
• Strong knowledge of current tax regulations and industry trends
