Job Details
We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager with strong partnership tax experience, ideally gained within a public accounting environment serving sophisticated investment and business clients.
This individual will play a key role overseeing complex partnership tax engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a resource to the firm's tax team.
Responsibilities include:
Manage and review complex partnership tax engagements
Review federal and state partnership returns and related tax filings
Work with clients across private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge funds and other alternative investment structures
Provide tax planning and consulting related to partnership structures and transactions
Analyze complex partnership allocations, K-1s and related tax matters
Research and resolve complex federal and state tax issues
Assist clients with entity structuring and tax-efficient planning
Review work prepared by Tax Seniors and Staff
Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to junior team members
Manage engagement timelines and client deliverables
Develop strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted point of contact
Collaborate with Partners on complex engagements, planning opportunities and client strategy
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
8+ years of public accounting tax experience
Strong partnership tax experience
Experience with complex partnership returns and multi-state taxation
Experience with PE, VC, real estate, hedge funds or other alternative investment clients strongly preferred
Strong understanding of partnership structures and tax implications
Excellent technical research and analytical skills
Strong client-facing and communication abilities
Experience reviewing and mentoring other tax professionals
CPA preferred
