    About the role:
     

                      

    Reports to the Head of Investor Services, US

    The purpose of this position is to support the tax team in all compliance and general administrative tax guidance (direct tax and indirect tax) on Aztec US clients’ portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to be part of an ambitious team and is committed to delivering high quality work under tight deadlines.

    As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiative, taking ownership for leading processes or projects that align with organisational goals. This will be achieved through collaborating with others to deepen relationships, being open minded and embracing change whilst valuing diverse perspectives and channelling a 'can-do' attitude. You will support business and people growth, assisting with developing the next generation of talent, to enable Aztec's future ambitions.

    Key responsibilities:

    Clients and Business Development

    • Support senior leaders in proposing for new tax services opportunities

    • Work effectively within Aztec’s mutli-service and/or multi-jurisdictional client teams to ensure that information is shared effectively, relationships are built and maintained

    • Deliver high levels of client satisfaction across the Tax service client base

    • Support the Tax leadership and the Business Development team in the pricing of new tax services opportunities

    Operations

    • Coordinate with clients’ third-party advisors

    • Review the preparation of corporate tax returns, review the calculation of tax provisions, review tax assessments and assist on ad-hoc projects

    • Support the tax team with coordination of day-to-day compliance tax services and work closely together making sure that clients are getting an excellence service

    • Maintain appropriate records of our clients’ tax affairs, the work we provide on their behalf and associated filings

    • Consistently and comprehensively deliver Aztec’s internal control framework and processes

    Governance

    • Contribute to Group and/or jurisdictional-specific Tax service projects, as required

    • Work effectively within Aztec’s multi-service and/or multi-jurisdictional client teams to ensure that information is shared effectively, relationships are built and maintained

    Skills, knowledge, expertise:

    • 8+ years of previous relevant Tax experience

    • A big 4 accounting firm backgound is desirable

    • A relevant undergraduate degree (Accounting / Finance / Business)

    • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse client teams

    • Attention to detail to ensure the delivery of consistent and high standards

    • Excellent organisational and people skills

    • A commitment and desire to deliver high-levels of client service

    • Ability to think critically and creativity work under pressure and within tight deadlines
