Senior Tax Manager

7 plus years of Corporate Tax experience

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Senior Tax Manager for a global organization headquartered in the Metro Detroit, MI area. This position will serve as a key technical leader within the corporate tax function, overseeing income tax compliance, tax provision review, strategic tax planning, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical tax expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to partner with executive leadership and external advisors.

Requirements of the Senior Tax Manager

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or Master s in Tax preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, ASC 740, and financial reporting.

• Experience with international tax, tax planning, audits, and tax technology systems.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Manager

• Review federal, state, and international tax compliance and oversee ASC 740 tax provision reporting.

• Provide technical tax guidance, support strategic tax planning, and assist with M&A activities.

• Coordinate audits, tax notices, SEC reporting support, and relationships with external advisors.

• Lead tax process improvements, technology initiatives, and compliance workflow management.

• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and executive leadership to ensure accurate reporting and effective tax strategies.

This position is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates located in Southeast Michigan who can be on-site at the Troy headquarters approximately 2 3 times per month as business needs require.
