Job Title: Senior Technician - Fire Alarm Systems

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Technician to join our dynamic team, specializing in fire alarm systems. As a pivotal member of our operations, you will leverage your expertise to ensure the highest standards of installation, service, and programming for our fire alarm solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Programming: Lead the installation, servicing, and programming of advanced fire alarm systems, ensuring all components are functioning as designed.

  • Commissioning and Testing: Take charge of programming and commissioning fire alarm systems, overseeing startup processes, pre-testing, and final acceptance testing to guarantee compliance and performance.

  • System Upgrades and Retrofits: Execute panel upgrades and system take-overs, ensuring seamless transitions and enhanced functionality.

  • Service Operations: Conduct service calls and scheduled maintenance repairs for the fire alarm service team, responding promptly to customer needs.

  • Systems Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in programming systems, including but not limited to Vigilant, Edwards (I/O), Fire-Lite, and Potter.

  • Collaboration and Support: Provide valuable technical support to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Service Coordinators, ensuring project alignment and success.

  • Training and Leadership: Mentor and train technician trainees, fostering a culture of learning and development through effective technical training and leadership.

  • Project Assessments: Perform detailed job walks for fire alarm system take-overs, system retrofits, tenant improvements, and new construction projects.

  • Department Development: Assist in building the fire alarm test/inspections and service department, contributing to the growth and effectiveness of the team.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience 
  • Valid NICET certification, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and programming capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
