CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.

 

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in the design, implementation, and optimization of secure and scalable computer and information networks. This role requires deep expertise in network architecture, cybersecurity, and data communications to ensure mission-critical systems are robust, resilient, and aligned with USCG operational goals. 

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and implement complex network infrastructures including LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and other data communication systems.
  • Conduct network modeling, simulation, and performance analysis to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and enforce network and computer security measures in compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software solutions to enhance network capabilities and security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, systems engineering, and program management, to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, configuration guides, and security protocols.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-level networks.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
  • Familiarity with federal IT standards and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in supporting cloud technology and management activities for Intelligence Community (IC) and other government agencies. Experience must include supporting IT infrastructure operating in Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) IC cloud environments such as IC GovCloud or Amazon Web Service (AWS) Commercial Cloud Service (C2S).
  • Shall have at least 3 years of Information Assurance A&A experience including assessment of information system vulnerabilities. Contractors performing this task must possess the following: DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher.
  • Must be a US citizen with a TOP SECRET/SCI level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $190,000 annually.
