Description
Principal Technical Business Analyst
Power investment decision-making across global strategies
Investment Management | ESG
Atlanta, GA (Midtown)
4 Days Onsite - Relocation Available
Flextime + Unlimited PTO
160k - 180k
You'll own how ESG data — sourced from a broad ecosystem of third-party providers — gets ingested, normalized, and turned into something portfolio managers, analysts, and risk teams can actually use to make decisions.
Getting the data isn't the hard part. Making it usable is. That takes someone fluent in both the data and the people consuming it — owning discovery and requirements end-to-end, from stakeholder conversations to specs engineering can build against.
This team invests heavily in knowledge transfer, from both the technical and business side. ESG is complex, the platform is complex, and the ramp-up support reflects that.
What You'll Do
Lead requirements definition for ESG data integration, normalization, and presentation initiatives
Partner with stakeholders and product teams to identify where ESG data should inform decisions — and where current tooling falls short
Translate stakeholder needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Shape how ESG data surfaces in internal tools: scoring views, risk overlays, portfolio-level comparisons, reporting outputs
Work directly in Snowflake alongside data engineering to query, understand, and help structure ESG data for downstream use
Collaborate with engineers and data teams across the full SDLC in an Agile model
Own complex, non-routine problems end-to-end, independently
What We're Looking For
10+ years as a Technical BA (or equivalent), including several years in financial services or capital markets
Track record with data-intensive systems — ingesting, normalizing, and presenting complex, multi-source data
Investment management or capital markets domain experience required; ESG familiarity a plus, not a prerequisite
Hands-on SQL and experience with large datasets in Snowflake, including internal pipelines and vendor-sourced feeds
BI/analytics tooling experience
Proven ability to drive data-driven tech initiatives from discovery through delivery
Comfortable working Agile alongside engineering teams
Strong communicator who earns credibility with business and technical stakeholders alike
Cloud fluency in AWS (Lambda, S3, microservices, CI/CD)
