Job Title:  Senior Technical Business Analyst
Location:  Minneapolis, MN (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months
 
Daily Responsibilities:
You will own the detailed requirements capture and documentation for a data migration and technology build-out initiative. While zero-balance loan migration processes already exist, this project focuses on the more complex migration of loans with active balances. Success requires deep technical acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills to bridge business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Capture technical requirements – Conduct in-depth analysis of data mapping and data translation rules; document detailed functional and technical specifications
  • Data mapping documentation – Develop comprehensive data mapping matrices and translation rule definitions; ensure accuracy and completeness for all loan balance migration scenarios
  • Stakeholder collaboration – Partner with business stakeholders, data architects, and development teams to understand requirements and validate technical solutions
  • Requirements validation – Review proposed data mappings against business rules; identify gaps, inconsistencies, and edge cases; recommend solutions
  • Documentation and communication – Create clear, detailed requirements documentation; effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Quality assurance – Verify that captured requirements are complete, unambiguous, and properly translated into technical specifications
 
Must Have Skills:
  • 8+ years of business analysis or technical analyst experience, with proven success on data migration, ETL implementation, or financial systems projects
  • Expert-level communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Demonstrated experience capturing and documenting detailed data mapping
  • Jira experience is required
 
Nice to have skills:
  • Experience with data conversion, ETL processes, or banking/financial systems migration
  • SQL or technical database knowledge
  • Familiarity with data mapping tools and platforms
  • Background in financial services or loan processing systems
  • Experience with transformation rules
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and requirements documentation methodologies
  • Ability to analyze complex data structures and translate them into clear specifications
