Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst

Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Technical Senior Business Systems Analyst with a major corporation in Burbank, CA.

Candidates must have experience working with software developers from the ground up with customized software

24 month contract
Pay Rate: $80- $86/hr DOE

Description:

The Entertainment Television Production Technology team is focused on implementing innovative solutions to support the production of episodic television. The team works to implement solutions across production, production finance and business affairs for multiple studios and platforms. We are focused on building solutions to business problems that increase insight and operational efficiency and are looking for a senior analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of the television production business

• Translate complex functional requirements into technical requirements

• Collaborate closely with developers in the role of subject matter expert

• Lead change management efforts to ensure business preparedness and user adoption

• Provide first line support for user reported issues

• Develop test cases, estimate test effort, perform application testing, and document test results

• Create training materials and train users

• Identify and communicate risks and issues

• Lead and execute testing activities across web applications, reports, interfaces, data conversions, reconciliations, and production support scenarios.

• Data validation using Excel and SQL

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience working on custom software development projects

• Deep business domain experience within financial planning, financial reporting, ERP, or similar

• Highly analytical with strong data analysis skills

• Ability to understand complex systems and end-to-end business processes

• Ability to work at a detailed level

• Ability to analyze data using a SQL database, multi-dimensional database, or Excel

• Experience writing test plans and performing application testing

• Experience conducting user acceptance testing

• Comfortable working in Agile/SCRUM environment

• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate closely with developers

• Produces high quality written deliverables (specifications, test plans)

• Advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, vlookup, formulas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working at a major studio in television production or distribution

• Experience with enterprise financial systems (SAP, Oracle EPM)

• Experience with Airtable

• Experience with Snowflake or Oracle relational databases

• Experience with SOX applications
