About the job

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You"re equally comfortable explaining your team"s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager, Advanced Manufacturing and Data Center Design, you have experience in the area of complex, multi-disciplinary, and geographically dispersed advanced manufacturing and data center design, development, construction and commissioning projects. You will provide project management of large-scale advanced manufacturing, data centers, networking, AC power distribution/conversion and cooling methods at multiple scales. You will manage complex schedules, budgets, and broad inter-dependencies. You will have extensive experience managing large-scale technical projects in a changing industry, being able to tolerate ambiguity, and demonstrate problem solving leadership with limited oversight.

  • Be responsible for gathering internal requirements, generating potential options, presenting to the leadership team, and delivering design solutions that satisfy customers needs.

  • Create and manage strategies for the execution of designs that leverage a standard baseline plan of record.

  • Overcome critical challenges while maintaining adherence to project timelines, quality and costs, and managing a cross functional set of stakeholders.

  • Be responsible for managing strategy for projects that require deviation from the baseline design due to environmental, code or other aspects that require localization.
