About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Applied AI Technical Program Management (TPgM) Agent Assist team is a high-execution group requiring deep AI expertise, product domain knowledge, and a genuine passion for delivering impact at an accelerated pace. Our TPgMs are responsible for the end-to-end delivery and management of agent-based solutions for Google’s Enterprise customers.

In this role, you will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional teams to navigate a complex landscape of technologies, processes, and deadlines. Owning large-scale programs with broad scope, you will balance big-picture strategic thinking with the ability to dive deep into technical details alongside engineering. Ultimately, you will serve as a key leader and collaborative partner as our broader organization works to deliver a cohesive, exceptional generative AI ecosystem to our customers.

The Cloud Applied AI (AAI) powers business growth with Gemini Enterprise. Our portfolio includes Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (Shopping Agent, CX Agent Studio, Agent Assist, Vertex AI Search - Commerce, Customer Experience Insights), along with other vertical and domain packaged solutions. We enable high adoption and speed to value by building solutions that are quickly deployed, delivering new 0-to-1 capabilities with startup agility. Team members operate at the forefront of AI, collaborating directly with model builders with unprecedented speed. Join us to work on cutting-edge projects and shape the future of AI in a fast-paced, collaborative, and impactful environment.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefitsLearn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex technical programs from initial strategic inception through delivery and deprecation driving continuous iterative refinement.
  • Drive operational clarity and decisive resolution for programmatic risks, bottlenecks, and cross-functional dependencies within rapidly evolving and ambiguous environments.
  • Strengthen cross-team visibility by delivering frequent, high-impact insights through a sophisticated blend of quantitative metrics and qualitative executive reporting.
  • Partner with engineering and product leadership to streamline cross-functional processes, simplify execution models, and implement high-impact tooling efficiencies.
  • Act as a team multiplier by mentoring peer technical program managers and supporting team members across organizational boundaries to achieve shared technical milestones.
