As our Technical Program Manager Manufacturing Operations on the Manufacturing Engineering General Assembly team, you will support our rapidly growing team to drive the scaling of vehicle production and support the coordination of day-to-day vehicle operation activities. In this high-visibility role, you will work cross-functionally across Zoox, including with Production Logistics, Procurement, Vehicle Engineering, Fleet Operations, and Software to help us achieve our operational and strategic milestones. You will work with the relevant teams to develop roadmaps, milestones, facilitate cross-functional alignment, flag risks, and clearly communicate ongoing progress.
In this role, you will:
- Support the Operations team to manage and ensure consistent adherence to all functional and quality standards for our vehicles across all Zoox manufacturing facilities.
- Drive cross-functional teams to achieve production ramp readiness, translating design concepts and supply chain readiness into scalable manufacturing operations.
- Drive resolution for day-to-day vehicle manufacturing issues, escalating roadblocks as necessary, and ensuring robust cross-functional alignment.
- Establish critical performance metrics to monitor production stability and resolution cycles.
- Deliver regular executive briefings to ensure cross-functional visibility and strategic alignment.
- Support vehicle production from initial concept and prototyping through to final high-volume manufacturing.
- Define and manage processes to ensure all teams clearly understand deliverables and risks, facilitating clear cross-functional communication and discussions at all times.
Qualifications:
- Effective communicator at all organizational levels, skilled at conflict resolution, driving results through influence, and building strong relationships. Crucially, they maintain composure and professionalism even in demanding situations.
- BS or MS degree in an engineering or management discipline
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, and/or program management
- Proven ability to manage and execute on complex integrated products, e.g., in automotive, aerospace, or robotics
- Strong track record in managing complex cross-functional programs
- An ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience
- Experience in the launch and scaling of volume production

- Strong references that highlight your ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions and departments

Base Salary Range
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling as well as positioning within a level is determined by a range of factors, including but not limited to a candidates relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
