Position Overview: The Senior Technical Project Manager oversees all aspects of key client projects in a technical product engineering environment. This role is responsible for setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring project progress within budget and scope. The ideal candidate will facilitate Hybrid Agile project management processes for both hardware and software development, serving as a Scrum Master for multiple technical product development teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage key client projects by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress within designated budget and scope.
  • Facilitate Hybrid Agile project management processes, principles, and practices across a combined hardware and software product engineering environment.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master for two or more technical product development teams, leading daily and weekly stand-up meetings.
  • Plan upcoming backlogs, prioritize team tasks, and organize work cycles into sprints for incremental delivery.
  • Create, update, and track comprehensive weekly project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheets.
  • Utilize internal Kanban tools, such as Zenhub, to organize and track tasks with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Write Epics and user stories, breaking them down into granular tasks with accurate time and resource estimates for planning purposes.
  • Coordinate directly with internal departments and clients to ensure all deliverables meet applicable compliance, scope, and budget requirements.
  • Proactively identify team impediments and collaborate with stakeholders or leadership to resolve risks quickly.
  • Perform physical duties related to site visits, including lifting a minimum of 30 pounds, driving vehicles, wearing protective equipment like hard hats, and working safely within manufacturing or engineering environments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering and technical program or project management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience functioning as a Project Manager.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience functioning as a practicing Scrum Master.
  • Proven experience working in a combined hardware and software engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in generating detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheets.
  • Hands-on experience working with Zenhub or similar Kanban project management tools.
  • Native or bilingual English language proficiency.
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license.
  • Must be a local resident of the Boston, MA area and available to work on-site full-time.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Active Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PSM).
  • Professional experience working with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
