Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Principal Program Manager to oversee and manage multiple fast-paced initiatives with distributed teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and team-building skills to effectively lead IT initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects while ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of multiple simultaneous initiatives with distributed teams.
• Lead IT initiatives through the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, scope, milestones, and budgets.
• Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Design and maintain project vision, working standards, and agreements.
• Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage issues and troubleshoot problems to minimize project disruptions.
• Track, update, and communicate project status, including progress, budget, resource utilization, change requests, issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to various stakeholders.
• Leverage data analytics to track project performance, optimize processes, and make informed decisions aligned with strategic goals.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, CIS/MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
• 11 years of experience in IT project management or a related role.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams with a focus on continuous improvement and developing self-organizing teams.
• Proficiency in a variety of computing platforms, including mainframe, client/server, web, cloud, and social media.
• Experience with DevOps toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
• Strong leadership skills with high energy and a positive attitude.
• Excellent analytical, estimating, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically and develop tactical methods to achieve objectives and goals.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and external groups.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources.

• 11+ years of experience in technical project management or delivery management.
• 5+ years of experience in technical project management or delivery management supporting cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, or engineering teams, including hands-on facilitation of agile ceremonies and ownership of technical documentation.
• Proficiency in technical project coordination and agile facilitation, including running project delivery for concurrent technical workstreams and facilitating Scrum/Kanban ceremonies (refinement, planning, stand-up, review, retrospective) with hands-on backlog management in Azure DevOps or equivalent tools like Jira or Rally.
• Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP) or PMP certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience in requirements intake and status management, including eliciting requirements from technical and business stakeholders, writing clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria, managing the intake-to-delivery pipeline, and producing recurring status reports and executive-ready summaries for leadership.
• Experience in technical documentation and training development, including authoring and refining runbooks, SOPs, process/architecture documentation, and knowledge base content, as well as defining role-based training requirements and building associated training materials.

• Familiarity with PKI/certificate lifecycle concepts, SIEM/security analytics, or endpoint platforms.
• Exposure to aviation, OT, cyber-physical, or embedded systems.
• Experience using AI/agentic tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to accelerate documentation, requirements drafting, and reporting.
• Knowledge of aviation security standards (e.g., DO-326A/DO-355A, ATA Spec 42) or NIST risk frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-30, CSF).
• Experience with vendor and third-party risk coordination using tools like OneTrust or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
• Background in instructional design or technical writing.

Pay Range: $65 - $70

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
