Medtronic is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Sr. PD Project Management Specialist to support engineering and product development teams. This role will focus on enabling high-performing teams, improving product development processes, facilitating Agile and SAFe practices, and coordinating cross-functional activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management, organizational, communication, Agile/Scrum, Jira, and process improvement skills, along with experience working in an engineering or R&D environment.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as an Agile Scrum Master and support SAFe Release Train activities.
Facilitate Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and other team activities.
Coach and support engineering teams in Agile methodologies and continuous improvement.
Help teams become more self-organizing and self-managing while improving overall team performance.
Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, testing, and engineering teams and serve as a liaison to program management.
Collaborate with global teams across the U.S. and Israel.
Coordinate and maintain Design History File (DHF) documentation.
Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, release plans, and deliverables. Identify, track, and coordinate dependencies, risks, issues, and impediments.
Work with Product Owners and engineering teams to maintain a high-quality product backlog.
Provide clear and consistent communication to stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and challenges.
Use project metrics and feedback to identify improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions.
Provide day-to-day team leadership, mentoring, and facilitation.
Partner with program and functional leaders to resolve complex issues.
Support the adoption of improved processes and ways of working.
Contribute to consistent Agile and SAFe practices across teams.
Perform investigation and root cause analysis when issues arise.
Prepare and maintain clear and accurate technical documentation and written communications.
Work within established SOPs, development processes, and quality requirements.
