Senior Technical Project Manager
Systems Integration and Development, Inc. (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider located in Rockville, MD and is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager. This is a full-time position based in Suitland, MD. This is a hybrid role with some travel and onsite required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage software development and modernization projects.
- Responsible for refining usage of Agile values and best practices, ensuring the practical use of Agile processes.
- Devise an Agile-based strategy to improve time and cost efficiencies for each project during the life of the contract.
- Serve as primary interface to client stakeholders and manages multiple internal business and technical resources.
- Along with the Business Analyst and Sr. Architect, lead meetings with project sponsors, collect and document requirements into formalized requirements document.
- Assist in the creation and review of project related design, implementation, testing, and user guide documentation.
- Capture meeting minutes to include new requirements and areas for improvement during all meetings.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a customer facing Project Manager.
- Experience managing development projects that utilize business process workflows.
- One or more of the following certifications: PMI-PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), SAFe Scrum Master, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), Certified Agile Leader Advanced Practitioner.
- Ability to lead through influence; negotiate and gain consensus between clients and team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Resourceful, self-starter, can do attitude, leader.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of associated Agile tools such as JIRA is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a government client environment is strongly preferred.
