You will be responsible for delivering high-impact, hands-on training.

Class Preparation

  • Kitting - Grab and prep Re‑Cert Solder, EA, RR kits
  • Wire Baggies - Pre‑fill for solder sessions
  • Print Rosters & Scoresheets - Ready before the door opens
  • Inventory Check - Verify all classroom items are stocked

During Class - Keep the Momentum Going

  • Attendance Management - Spot‑check Teams, email supervisors for no‑shows, update the master attendance sheet
  • Cabinet Organization - Tidy materials on the fly so learners stay focused

After Class - Reset for Success

  • Room Reset - Clean instructor desk, solder pot table, rework front table, etc.
  • Workstation Refresh - Return tools, ensure pens/sharpies (thin & thick, #106) and aluminum tins are in place
  • Tool & Material Stow - Store extra PPE, wires, components, and tools
  • Prep Next Class - Arrange the room, refill chemical bottles, clean flux bottles, and top‑off water
  • Chemical Management - Empty bins as needed; notify David Holland for low supplies
  • Store Workmanship - Log and archive completed work

Administrative Power‑Moves

  • Create Classes in Atlas - AC (Wire Harness, Solder, Rework/Repair) & MFC (Torque, Mix & Seal, Safety Wire, etc.)
  • Training Calendar Management - Book rooms, tag employees, attach IPC docs, directions, and other essentials
  • Learning Plan Updates - Keep curricula current
  • Maintain Training Spreadsheets - Track attendance, credits, and certification status
  • Close‑out & Credit Assignment - Verify initial certs (Mix & Seal, Solder, Safety Wire)
  • Rescheduling - Move attendees as needed for AC & MFC classes
  • Semester AC Schedule Distribution - Sync with air‑control team; email Kelli Kirkpatrick on campus closures
  • Package Logistics - Shuttle training kits between sites

NEO (New Employee Onboarding) - First‑Day Heroics

  • Print & Pack - NEO packets, IPC Edge notes, Buddy checklists, calendars, name tags, login info, testing sheets, eye‑exam forms
  • Create NEO Baggies - Earphones, pens, sticky notes
  • Purchase IPC Edge Modules - Use travel card, file expense report
  • Update Training Computers - Ensure software is current
  • Set Up NEO Classes - Prep the Innovation conference room Thursday prior
  • OneNote Management - Build notes page, daily supervisor notes, track attendance & issues
  • Assign Atlas Curriculum - Align new hires with required courses
  • 30/60/90‑Day Follow‑Ups - Meet with new hires to ensure continued growth

Occasional High‑Impact Activities

  • Job & Career Fairs - Represent the team and attract talent
  • Interviews & Apprenticeships - Vet candidates, mentor apprentices
  • Community Partnerships - Host school fairs, run solder/wire workshops for students
  • Cross‑Site Communication - Share training materials and best practices
  • Audits - Participate in internal and external compliance reviews

Basic Qualifications:

Fluent in Microsoft Software applications

Ability to lead classrooms

Experience in building curriculum

General Teaching Certificate/License or Specialized Subject-area Specific Certificate

Desired Skills:

Experience in grant writing

Experience in managing grants

Working knowledge or familiarity with MES such as SAP or Apriso

Experience with conference room casting systems

Basic electrical fundamentals with soldering experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
