Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Performs routine maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established maintenance schedules and guidelines. Inspects, cleans, and repairs equipment. Observes and documents signs of wear and tear. Recommends repair needs. Determines replacement needs. Documents maintenance activities.

Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures and oversees work of less-experienced associates by determining scopes of work for projects. Utilizes multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) to inspect, operate, or test systems to diagnose issues. Dismantles equipment to access and remove defective parts. Uses blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.

Trains a Developmental Technician for on-the-job training and hands-on instruction. Deliver hands-on training sessions on safety, control troubleshooting, and system operations at company facilities, offsite locations, or vendor sites.

Ensures financial sustainability and manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs). Conducts price comparisons of parts and travel related costs. Orders and tracks parts and replacement equipment. Records purchases and usage. Manages parts inventory. Reviews journals and invoices. Compiles and reports budget information. Develops relationships with local parts suppliers and contractors. Ensures contractors follow company quality standards, safety requirements, and contract requirements. Identifies and reports deficiencies.

Complies with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines and ensures quality work that meets federal, state, and local regulations. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by using the Open Door Policy.

Participates in an on-call rotation to support business critical needs outside of standard business hours. During assigned on-call periods, responds in a timely manner to incidents or requests and supports issue resolution or appropriate escalation as needed.

Operates, inspects, and maneuvers heavy machinery and powered equipment (for example, forklifts, material handling equipment, industrial machines, shop equipment, vehicles) in accordance with training, certification requirements, and safety procedures. Performs pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with applicable standards. Identifies unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards and takes appropriate corrective action or escalate as required.

Maintains company vehicles in accordance with company policies and procedures. Coordinates and transports vehicles for required maintenance, ensuring beforehand that alternate driving support is arranged.

Safely operates motor vehicles and ensures that the vehicle has all required documents. Checks fuel and water levels, brake condition, signals, and lights.

Submits maintenance invoices for payment. Verifies the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance.

Wears company uniform and badge in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
