Description

Barton Integration is seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to join our team as Integration Technicians. Technicians are responsible for installing, servicing, and supporting cutting-edge low-voltage systems including security, fire, AV, and network infrastructure. Job Responsibilities:

Perform supervision for installations, terminations, and testing of equipment. Program and provision completed installations.

  • Communicate daily progress to clients and update Director with challenges.
  • Lead small teams on installations and service jobs, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting, testing, and repair of integrated systems.
  • Assist with system startups and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Mentor and train Technician I team members on best practices.
  • Collaborate with Field Engineers, Project Managers, and Director to address complex challenges.
  • Coordinate material and equipment needs to maintain project timelines.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and site leader, managing larger teams and complex installations.
  • Design system layouts and assist with pre-installation planning.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, including closeout and client handoff.
  • Perform advanced programming and end-user training for systems including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
  • Ensure all projects remain within budget and on schedule while meeting Barton’s quality standards.
  • Lead safety practices on site and enforce compliance.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in the electronic or low-voltage industry.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Proven ability to lead small teams and manage time effectively.
  • Competence in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Manufacturer certifications in access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems a plus (e.g., Bosch, Avigilon Alta, LenelS2, Brivo, Genea, Kisi, Honeywell, Axis, Hanwha, Salient, among many best in class technology solutions).
  • Advanced troubleshooting and programming skills.
  • Experience designing systems and collaborating with project management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • Job sites include construction areas, office spaces, industrial environments, and outdoor locations.
  • Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, confined spaces, and heights over 6 feet.
  • Travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
