Responsible for production of printed materials in the College Print Shop assuring quality, deadlines, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Operate Konica Minolta AccurioPress C3080P and 6120 digital presses, and bindery attachments, plus HP Wide Format plotter.
Review all requests using online ordering system for printed materials and stationery, considering color requirements, artwork and type of paper needed, and determine best method for completion.
Maintain and make routine repairs to machinery and work areas in a duty-wise manner, including digital presses, folders, drills, hole punch, collators, perfect bind, G.B.C. binders and stitchers. Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous material in accordance with PESOHA requirements.
Monitor work in progress to maintain standards of quality as well as scheduled production times.
Transport printed material and supplies.
Process mailing lists via BCC Mail Software and prep print related materials for USPS.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
High School graduation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Three years of printing or related copier experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements
Knowledge in the use of imposition on digital presses, Fiery preferred.
Experience in Adobe Acrobat with a working knowledge of Creative Suite or newer applications.
Must be familiar with hazardous waste disposal procedures.
Must keep current with computer printing technology.
Must be able to properly operate the machines and specialized software programs essential to the position within 90 days of hire.
Must be computer literate with ability to utilize Microsoft Office at an intermediate level and the ability to learn and utilize specific higher education programs and systems.
Ability to learn and apply office practices, procedures, policies, and regulations that are essential to the position.
Valid driver''s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations
Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities.
Must be able to lift up to 50Ibs onto and off truck, must be able stand on cement floor for long periods. Noisy working conditions involving numerous machines operating at one time. Works with chemicals, paints and dyes. Overtime may be required to complete projects.
