Our client, a leading global investment management firm, is seeking a Senior Technologist with strong full-stack .NET/C# experience to design, build, and support scalable technology solutions across its Fund and Intermediary businesses.
This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, advanced SQL and data skills, and the ability to independently drive initiatives from requirements through production deployment and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain internal applications and integrations with third-party platforms including SEI, APL, fund administrators, transfer agents, and intermediary platforms.
Partner with business and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and specifications.
Develop clean, maintainable, well-tested C#/.NET applications and services.
Manage delivery throughout the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform performance, reliability, scalability, and resiliency.
Support platform modernization initiatives, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
Manage multiple development and integration workstreams while communicating priorities and technical trade-offs.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical standards, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Qualifications
10+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong asset management experience, particularly within Fund and Intermediary business environments.
Experience with SEI and/or APL, fund administration platforms, and related investment technology.
Understanding of SMA/UMA programs, wirehouse and sponsor platforms, and model management platforms such as Envestnet and Orion.
Strong C#/.NET development experience, including production applications and services.
Advanced SQL, data modeling, and query optimization skills.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake.
Full-stack development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with scheduling tools such as Tidal or Control-M.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent project leadership skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure, Python, Perl, shell scripting, Domain-Driven Design, event-driven architecture, and AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
Location: New York City Hybrid, minimum two days per week in office.
Compensation: $130,000$180,000 annual base salary. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, education, and business needs. The position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement benefits, life insurance, and other benefits for eligible employees.
