Overview:

IAT is seeking a Sr. Technologist/Policy Advisor to support the Office of the Director of the National Intelligence (ODNI) to perform technical analysis, research and development, systems planning, and systems engineering to host different activities, including the IC S&T Strategic Plan and the Intelligence S&T Partnership (In-Step) between the US private and public sectors.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Analyze future Intelligence mission needs (e.g. Unifying Intelligence Strategies) and compare them to current capabilities to identify technology gaps.
  • Develop Strategies with achievable goals within the prescribed resources to fill mission capability gaps in mission capabilities.
  • Research future technology developments to identify potential breakthrough capabilities in technology.
  • Analyze existing IC S&T program data to define programmatic baselines and identify opportunities for synergy.
  • Participate in various studies, workshops, working groups, and projects that span the multiple organizations, agencies, and technical disciplines to plan and coordinate complementary S&T developments.
  • Integrate national intelligence priority framework requirements and hard target defeat strategies with research and development (R&D) investments.
  • Establish long-term goals through the synthesis of common campaign strategy elements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relative field
  • 10+ years IC research, collection and analysis experience
  • Proven ability to develop research strategies for cross-functional, multi-regional, technology-oriented requirements.
  • Ability to perform a variety to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously in a multidisciplinary team oriented environment.
  • EXPERT knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to research, analysis, and diverse subject matters; pertaining to complex scientific and technical topics of interest to the IC.
  • Proven successful completion of joint products such as written finished intelligence analysis, and training materials that involve multiple agencies.
  • Extensive experience planning, leading, and successfully completing complex projects regarding translating mission needs into technical requirements that inform R&D strategic plans.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ODNI roles and responsibilities
  • Experience with one or more of the IC collaboration spaces (i-Space, R-Space, Q-Space, i4s, or SAGE).

 

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive or classified information. TS/SCI w/CI Poly required.
