A Cleveland, Ohio area engineering firm that is looking for a Senior Technology Engineer to lead the design and implementation of sophisticated low-voltage systems. This is a "full-lifecycle " role where you will bridge the gap between high-level conceptual design and construction completion. The Ideal Candidate will serve as the technical authority for ICT (Information and Communications Technology), overseeing the "brains " of modern buildings—from high-speed data networks to integrated security and AV systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Design: Supervise the construction drawing process from initial concept through 100% design completion.
  • Systems Architecture: Direct the selection, layout, and calculation for voice/data networks, audio-visual (AV), and electronic security systems.
  • Specification & Costing: Author detailed project specifications and provide high-accuracy "probable cost " estimates to ensure project viability.
  • Quality Control: Lead the QC process, ensuring all deliverables meet firm standards and client performance requirements.

Project Leadership & Management
  • Strategic Coordination: Partner with multidisciplinary project teams to align technology designs with the client's aesthetic, financial, and performance goals.
  • Construction Administration: Manage projects through the construction phase, ensuring field implementation matches design intent.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor designers and entry-level engineers; manage work assignments, track progress, and provide technical feedback.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 7–10+ years in the design of voice/data, AV, and security systems.
  • Market Sector Expertise: Proven track record with healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, and/or educational institutions.
  • Software Mastery: High proficiency in Revit for BIM-integrated design.
  • Certification: BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is highly preferred.

Core Competencies
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for internal teams and external clients.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple high-priority deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Client-Centric: A responsive, proactive approach to serving both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
