    Senior Telecommunications Engineer

    Responsibilities:
    • Telecommunications Design & Support: Translate business requirements into telecommunications needs, including LAN, CAN, WAN, voice, and video systems. Design and implement telecommunication solutions for medium and large-scale infrastructures.
    • Engineering Analysis: Conduct in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives to support strategic modernization and enhancement efforts for government public safety agencies.
    • Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain telecom systems including gateways, routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, network servers, multiplexers, calling card platforms, TDM, Dialogic, and VoIP systems (SIP, H.323 protocols, dial peers, VoIP carrier trunking).
    • Infrastructure Design: Design supporting cable/wiring infrastructure for construction projects encompassing voice, data, video, and wireless technologies.
    • Project Supervision: Oversee telecommunications projects, supervise project staff, and coordinate with other personnel to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Program Management: Provide comprehensive program management services, including making presentations to national, state, and local officials to communicate project progress and objectives.
    Requirements:
    • Certification: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (R.C.D.D.) certification is required.
    • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT systems and technology within a telecom environment, covering both legacy and next-generation technologies.
    • Technical Expertise: Proficient in the configuration and maintenance of gateways, routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, network servers, multiplexers, calling card platforms, TDM, Dialogic, and VoIP systems (SIP, H.323 protocols, dial peers, and VoIP carrier trunking).
    • Leadership: Proven ability to supervise projects and personnel effectively.
    • Communication Skills: Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to national, state, and local officials.
