Provide Test Engineering support for an Army Project Office at Redstone Arsenal. This role functions within the Project Office's Test Directorate in direct support of the Government Test Team and will work with government civilians, military personnel, and contractors. The Senior Test Engineer will play a critical role in test execution and test documentation, to include developing test plans, designing test procedures, executing tests, and maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with applicable government standards. Candidate must be professional, self-motivated, and possess good communication and team working skills to participate in multiple test support activities with team member Subject Matter Experts.Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and execute tests for a complex and advanced Air and Missile Defense system for the US ArmyParticipate in Test activities including SIL, HWIL, Distributed Ground Testing, System Qualification Testing, and Field Testing with a team consisting of personnel from multiple projects, agencies, and labsGenerate pre-test documentation to include test plans, test requirements, test procedures, and test case matrices, as well as post-test support to include resolution of test incident reports and generation of post-test reportsOrganize and participate in weekly Test Planning meetings; prepare test presentationsSupport major meetings with Program Stakeholders such as T&E WIPTsTravel to DOD Test Ranges to support various test operations and missionsSupport weekly reporting efforts: team weekly activities reports, weekly SITREPs to management, test calendar, asset status, and EXSUMs for major test activities Qualifications:U.S. CitizenMust possess and maintain a US Secret security clearanceMaster's degree in STEM or related field or BS with equivalent experience Required Skills / Experience:Minimum of 10 years engineering experience with focus on defense systems and test engineering experience with government-related projectsOvercoming gaps, risks, and challenges to demonstrate and mature emerging technologiesThis work will occur as part of a Test Execution Team; therefore, the candidate must be able to work in a high-paced team environment consisting of government and prime contractor personnel from multiple projects, agencies, and labs including external agency stakeholders such as ATEC and OSDThorough knowledge and understanding of DoD test and integration of complex defense systemsProficiency with DoD current Test regulations, policies, and proceduresExcellent collaboration and communication abilitiesGreat organizational and time management skillsAbility to coach, teach and mentor junior Test EngineersPreferred Skills / Experience:Knowledge of Air and Missile Defense Command and Control concepts and operationsStrong desire to contribute to overall team successExcellent written and oral communication skillsFamiliarity with government acquisition processesHigh degree of proficiency in MS Office SuiteUnderstanding of agile methodology testing Mission Driven Research is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.
