Overview Element has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Test Technician - Electronics at our Element Anaheim materials testing laboratory. Reporting to the General Manager, you are an essential member of the team and responsible for overseeing program management including planning, scheduling, and assigning projects and establishing successful relationships with customers. The Senior Test Technician - Electronics will also consult and provide engineering design work per customer specifications. Direct experience in Electronics industry is preferrable.In this role, you will interact with clients, accreditation bodies and will be responsible for advising operational colleagues of the importance of quality, accuracy and integrity in the provision of the inspection and testing services we provide.Salary: $36- $41/hr DOEResponsibilities Requires little supervision and technical input of a Department Manager, Principal Technician, or EngineerPossesses the ability to mentor and train technicians who have less experience through effective communication of technical dataAbility to transfer technical knowledge/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer specificationsDesigns, sets-up and performs a variety of test according to customer specifications and requirementsProvide leadership and direct all activities of the engineering department, including planning and managing technical performance to ensure quality and business objectives are achievedProvide expertise necessary to assist in the designing, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases of test programs in accordance with customer specificationsParticipate in the preparation of proposals, proposal work statements and project specificationsResponsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a timely mannerMaintain contact and relationships with customer contacts and participate as necessary to cultivate new accountsEnsure Quality System requirements are being always met by all department personnelEnsure compliance with all Company policiesEnsure adherence to all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to safety, environment, and corporate governanceEnsures productivity including performance management (OKRs)Skills / Qualifications Working knowledge of laboratory safetyHS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomedAt least 5-7 years of work-related experience in the electronics industryIn-depth understanding of testing conceptsExperience with printed circuit boards a plusExperience with various benchtop electronic equipment, such as meters, power supplies, etc.Experience with computer modeling, simulation and circuit analysis is desirable.Familiarity with software programs such as LabVIEW, Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performedPrevious experience leading and managing projectsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to review performance, identify problems and implement solutionsAn understanding of ISO 17025 is desirable but not essentialAbility to effectively collaborate and lead cross-functional teams that achieve requirements/goalsOther Skills and Abilities Possesses the ability to perform lower to intermediate complex testing.Ability to work alone the majority of the work day; only requiring assistance for clarification or confirmation of test procedures.Effectively manages time and practices accountability for the testing to be performed.Ability to take testing projects from start to finish, completing each step properly.Ability to hold team members and peer technicians accountable for the testing requirements.Advanced ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required in accordance with customer specifications.Ability to construct and maintain test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order based on client needs.Ability to maintain and repair equipment.Ensures timely and accurate results with little supervision and technical input.Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
