Summary
The Senior Test Technician is responsible for supporting the company's quality culture through rigorous product testing to ensure high-quality and high-performing products. The role involves assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of components used in wafer-based Dual Beam systems. The position also supports manufacturing process improvements, workplace safety, and quality standards while working closely with team members in a complex manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing using prescribed methods and detailed work instructions.
- Collect and analyze test data to support process decisions.
- Troubleshoot a wide variety of issues to identify problems.
- Perform machine setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
- Rebuild manufacturing equipment when required to maintain operability.
- Perform precision mechanical assembly and integration of components.
- Support manufacturing process improvements and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow workplace safety and quality procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team of 8 10 colleagues.
- Support projects and provide training when required.
- Follow detailed work instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately.
- Work productively with colleagues from different cultural, language, and educational backgrounds.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-year technical degree preferred, or 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in precision mechanical assembly preferred.
- Experience with low-volume, complex manufacturing processes preferred.
- Previous experience using a Digital Multimeter (DMM) required.
- Previous troubleshooting experience required.
- Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement preferred.
- Experience with Windows and MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Ability to read detailed technical drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical assemblies at the component and system level.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Ability to support projects and training activities.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
