Job Title Senior Test TechnicianPay $ 33 DOE Location - Somerville, MA Contract 2 months Title: Senior Materials Reliability Technician* Type of work o General mechanical testing, electrolyte (caustic chemical) immersion, and general measurement of plastic and rubber samples.  Mark material coupons Drill holes in material coupons and prepare for environmental exposure Pour caustic electrolyte into plastic bottles, place material coupons into electrolyte, place into oven Remove material coupons from electrolyte and decontaminate following a Form Energy-internal decontamination procedure Measure material coupon dimensions with micrometer/calipers Measure material coupon mass with scale Perform tensile testing on material coupons Log data into pre-populated excel spreadsheet Maintain general lab cleanliness and keep in working order
