You'll design and optimize shell-and-tube and gasketed plate heat exchangers, owning projects from thermal rating through manufacturing support — alongside a world-class global team of thermal professionals pushing the boundaries of heat transfer technology.What We Offer You:Opportunity to learn from and contribute to a premier, global companyBe part of leading-edge technology for the heat transfer industryAbility to impact customers across multiple industriesFull health & welfare benefits, 401(k), PTO, and developmental opportunities!Salary Range $95,000/year - $110,000/yearWhat You Will Do:Thermal Rating : Perform thermal design and sizing of shell-and-tube and plate-type heat exchangers for situations involving single and multi-phase flows and phase change.Software Simulation : Utilize HTRI and other packages along with API proprietary programs.Spec Verification : Review customer data sheets, piping diagrams, and process specifications.Cross-Functional Support : Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to ensure code compliance to ASME, CRN, PED, ABS, and other relevant codes.Client Consultation : Provide technical support to sales teams and interface directly with clients on an as‑needed basis.What You Will Bring:Education : Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Master's degree preferred.Accreditation : Degree must be from an ABET‑accredited university.Experience : 3 to 5 years of professional experience in thermal design.Exchanger Expertise : Proven track record sizing shell-and-tube and plate heat exchangers for single and multi-phase fluids.Software Skills : Proficient with HTRI or Aspen EDR software.Fluid Dynamics : Strong foundational knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.Communication : Clear technical writing and verbal communication skills. English proficiency required.Preferred QualificationsIndustry Standards : Familiarity with TEMA standards and ASME Section VIII, Division 1.Research & Development : Experience with laboratory testing of thermal productsLocal Presence : Current residency in or willingness to relocate to the Buffalo, NY area.#J-18808-Ljbffr
