    Description

A day in the life (Monette, AR 72447)

You begin your morning reviewing yesterday’s production data to spot opportunities where smarter tooling can increase throughput and raise first-pass yield. By mid-morning, you’re with a cross-functional squad—manufacturing engineers, operators, quality, and sourcing—refining specifications for a new fixture. In the afternoon, you’re iterating a SolidWorks model for a mold insert, running a quick cost/feasibility check, and setting up a prototype build. Before you head out, you document the latest design decisions and plan a short trial to validate performance on the line.

    What you’ll own

    • Conceive, design, and refine tooling and fixturing that elevate manufacturing efficiency, repeatability, and product quality.
    • Partner across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to translate needs into clear tooling requirements and specifications.
    • Lead feasibility studies and cost analyses to guide investment decisions for new tooling projects.
    • Oversee prototyping and on-machine trials; interpret results and drive iterative improvements.
    • Support production with hands-on technical troubleshooting and guidance during ramp and steady-state builds.
    • Champion continuous improvement to boost tooling performance, reliability, and lifecycle cost.
    • Maintain complete, accurate documentation for designs, revisions, standards, and performance metrics.
    • Track industry advancements in tooling, materials, and manufacturing technologies to inform roadmaps.

    What you bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • 5+ years designing tooling within production environments.
    • Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D/2D design and detailing.
    • Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skills.
    • Clear communicator and collaborative teammate across functions and levels.
    • Working knowledge of materials, machining, and manufacturing processes.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and hit deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
    • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

    Technical domains where you excel

    • Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
    • CNC Tooling
    • Process Engineering
    • Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills
    • Injection Molding Experience
    • Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience

If you thrive at the intersection of design rigor and shop-floor pragmatism—and you enjoy turning complex manufacturing challenges into elegant tooling solutions—this role in Monette, AR 72447 is built for you.
