As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of transportation systems, traffic operations, and ensuring that development projects meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage transportation engineering projects for both private development and public agencies, including intersection design, roadway signing and striping, and traffic signal designLead business development efforts, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and identifying opportunities to expand the company's services to new clients and geographic areasActively pursue new projects and markets, representing the company in client meetings, conferences, and industry events.Prepares detailed designs for traffic control systems, signal improvements and roadway enhancementsConducts traffic studies and analyses, including traffic impact analyses, signal timing, and safety assessments. Utilizes traffic analysis and modeling software (e.g. Vistro, Synchro, TransCAD) to interpret data and provide recommendationsPerform quality assurance and control for transportation design deliverablesManages projects to ensure the quality of technical and written analysis and adherence to budget and scheduleMaintains a high-level of internal and external communications to ensure that all impacted parties are kept informed about project progressAttends public hearings as neededEngages with the development of strategies and processes for the technical services department and company overallSupports positive client relations through consistent communication with internal and external stakeholdersParticipates in continuing education to stay abreast of industry trends and maintain technical expertiseQualificationsBachelor's degree and 7+ years relevant full-time work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required.Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of CaliforniaDemonstrated experience in intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and striping, and related infrastructure improvements.Strong background in transportation planning, including traffic impact analysis, parking studies, and operations analysis.Proficient in transportation design software such as AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM, or similar programs.Familiarity with relevant transportation codes, guidelines, and regulatory processes.Excellent communication and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and manage client relationships.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Perks and BenefitsFrequent and Engaging Team Building Events#J-18808-Ljbffr
