We focus on raising the bar in our profession and serving communities through innovative transportation solutions.Position SummaryAs a Traffic Operations & Safety Engineer, you will lead and support complex projects across Arizona, analyzing traffic data, developing projections, creating improvement strategies, and implementing advanced traffic management techniques. You will also document findings and pursue new project opportunities.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze field data using tools such as Synchro, HCS, SIDRA, FREEVAL, and VISSIM.Develop traffic projections following agency methodologies.Create and evaluate improvement alternatives and perform simulation analyses.Implement traffic management strategies including ATDM and ICM.Document methods and findings in accessible reports.Identify and pursue new project opportunities.QualificationsRequired7+ years of traffic engineering experience, especially in freeway and arterial safety and operations.Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or related field.Arizona PE or TE registration.Extensive experience in transportation operations and analysis techniques.Knowledge of relevant manuals and software.Experience in diverse transportation projects and effective project management.Proficiency in software tools like Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, etc.PreferredITS and TSMO experience.Experience with ATDM, ICE, ramp metering.Systems engineering familiarity.Public speaking and stakeholder engagement skills.Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $105,000 - $155,000 plus benefits, including health insurance, PTO, retirement, profit sharing, bonuses, and support for professional development.Application ProcessInterested candidates should apply via the "apply now" button.
