Senior Transportation Project Manager
In this role, you will:
- Develop project scopes, schedules, work plans, and staffing plans
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
- Serve as the primary point of contact for CDOT clients, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships
- Manage transportation projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from proposal development through project closeout
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor project profitability, utilization, and overall financial performance
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and strategic pursuits
- Mentor and develop project managers and technical staff
- Ensure compliance with CDOT standards, quality requirements, and company procedures
- Collaborate with executive leadership to expand GEC's transportation practice

A successful Senior Transportation Project Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- 10+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience
- Experience with IDOT or other municipal transportation agencies
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
