Description
What you'll do:

Oversee technical design teams, ensuring compliance with AASHTO, DOT, and local standards.
Serve as the primary client liaison for project delivery, quality, and performance.
Review design calculations, plans, and specifications.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers.
Support proposal development and business growth through technical leadership.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina and/or South Carolina (or ability to become registered within six months) is strongly preferred.
10-15 years of road design experience, including leadership of large-scale DOT or other county/municipal transportation projects.
Experience managing or being in charge of all aspects of design for a project (geometric design, typical sections, drainage/hydraulics, Maintenance of Traffic, etc.).
Familiarity with state DOT standards — in this case, specifically North/South Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT/SCDOT) design manuals, plan-preparation guides, and other related regulations and processes.
