Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join our complex litigation practice.
The ideal attorney is a true trial lawyer with substantial experience handling high-exposure tort litigation, preferably involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, product liability, construction accidents, premises liability, property damage or other complex casualty matters.
This role involves ownership throughout the litigation lifecycle, including:
- Developing case and trial strategy
- Conducting fact investigations
- Taking and defending depositions
- Managing complex discovery
- Identifying and developing expert witnesses
- Drafting and arguing substantive motions
- Conducting mediations and settlement negotiations
- Preparing witnesses for testimony
- First- and/or second-chairing significant trials
- Advising sophisticated corporate and insurance clients
- Traveling nationally for depositions, hearings and trials
Candidates should have meaningful courtroom experience and be comfortable independently developing complex cases.
Ideal Background:
- Approximately 8–15+ years of litigation experience
- Significant tort and/or casualty defense experience
- Demonstrated jury trial experience
- First-chair experience strongly preferred
- Catastrophic injury and/or wrongful death experience highly valued
- Product liability or construction litigation particularly relevant
- Experience working with expert witnesses
- Strong deposition, motion and case-development skills
- Licensed in PA, NY, NJ, FL and/or CA
- Willingness to travel nationally
