Provost & Pritchard is offering opportunities for a Senior Tunneling Consultant with a diversity of experience in technical expertise, design, project planning, project engineering, management, client relations and/or business development. Candidates should possess an extensive background in the design and construction methods of tunnel/underground structures including geological investigations, design and construction of new tunnel and rehabilitation projects, structural foundations, landslides, slope stability and geologic hazards.
Typical duties include:
Lead and prepare feasibility studies
Consult with clients on engineering and related matters
Preparation of technical memorandums and reports
Administer construction contracts
Direct projects from planning through completion
Qualifications
Bachelors and/or masters degree in civil engineering, Engineering Geology, and/or Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
Hold at least one of the following registered licenses in California: Civil Engineer (PE), Engineering Geologist (CEG), or Geotechnical Engineer (GE)
Valid California drivers license and available transportation
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Understand and be experienced with regulatory compliance issues as they relate to design specialty areas
