UI Engineer

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (On-site)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled UI Developer to join a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on coding expertise in User Interface (UI) development. This role involves designing and implementing modern, responsive, and accessible UI solutions, building sustainable cloud-native applications, and collaborating with a small team of developers and engineers to support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern, responsive, and accessible UI solutions using frameworks like React, Angular, or VueJS, alongside HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and manage scalable back-end services using Python, Java, or C#.
• Work with data engineers to integrate data pipelines, analytics tools, and content delivery processes.
• Partner with cyber engineers to enhance software security and develop automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in architecture decisions, technical design reviews, Agile workflows, and iterative software delivery.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, guide junior developers, and conduct code reviews.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related experience. Equivalent military or volunteer experience will be considered.

Experience: 4+ years of back-end development experience with Python, Java, or C#.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in a hands-on UI development role (not UX design).
• Team-based experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or VueJS.
• Experience working in cloud environments (on-premise or off-premise).
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Selenium, Jest).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing user-friendly and accessible interfaces with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, or Helm.
• A Front End Libraries Certification or other practical UI certifications are highly regarded.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
