Position: Senior Underground Surveyor (Ruby Hill)

This role reports to the Senior Mine Engineer. The successful candidate will create as-built maps for underground development and production, collect and report data for mine modeling, controlling ore and waste, and measuring contractor progress, as well as provide the technical services team support and performance in a full spectrum of mine-site surveying duties. The successful candidate will spend 90% of their time at the Ruby Hill Mine but must have the ability to travel to other i80 sites in Nevada as needed.
Location: Ruby Hill / Archimedes Underground, Eureka, NV
Ruby Hill is part of the historic Eureka district with gold discoveries dating back to 1864. The Archimedes pit was from 1997 to 2021, primarily as an oxide heap-leach operation. Residual leaching of the pad is ongoing. The property is host to multiple high-grade deposits of both precious and base metals. The company is currently developing the Archimedes underground mine to access the "426" and "Blackjack" zones. The mine currently consists of two portals, underground ramp development, exploration drifts and support facilities inside of the Archimedes pit. The 426 zone will commence production in 2026, using the underhand drift-and-fill mining method, while further delineating the Blackjack deposit. Future mining has the potential to use the longhole stoping method for mine production.
