Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end UX research initiatives, translating user insights into actionable product requirements, and shaping digital experiences through journey mapping, service design, and usability evaluation.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior User Experience (UX) Designer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end UX research activities, including discovery research, concept validation, usability testing, and post-launch evaluations to inform product strategy.

• Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, diary studies, and contextual inquiry.

• Synthesize research findings into actionable insights, translating user needs into product recommendations, user stories, and business requirements.

• Create and maintain customer journey maps, service blueprints, personas, and other service design artifacts to improve user experiences across multiple touchpoints.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Engineering teams to ensure user-centered design principles are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.

• Present research insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership, while mentoring team members on UX research best practices, accessibility, and inclusive design standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors, Design, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

• 5+ years of dedicated UX Research experience utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies across complex digital products or services.

• Proven expertise in planning and executing end-to-end UX research, creating customer journey maps and service blueprints, and translating research findings into actionable product requirements and strategic recommendations.

• Strong proficiency with UX research and design tools such as Dovetail, Figma, UserTesting/UserZoom, and Miro, along with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
