Description We are seeking a customer-obsessed Senior User Experience Designer to define, articulate, and champion the experience of Kiro. Kiro is a group of products and solutions that enable agentic AI development. In this role, you will excel at investigating, understanding, and designing experiences that solve complex customer problems through innovative solutions. Your passion is translating abstract concepts into solid design deliverables such as complex workflows, wireframes, user interface designs, interaction models, and prototypes. The ideal candidate approaches challenges with clarity and empathy, inspires others, and is driven to solve problems at a massive scale. As a hands-on creative leader, you will establish a vision and strategy, always putting the needs of our customers first. In this cross-functional role, you will collaborate with product teams, engineering teams, and executive leadership to identify and execute on opportunities. You will distill customer insights into actions that benefit the organization, serving as the voice of the customer with senior leadership. Key job responsibilities - Own and drive the end-to-end design process for major features or product areas of Kiro - Create and validate design solutions through customer research, data analysis, and iterative testing - Develop detailed interaction models, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes - Partner effectively with product management and engineering to ensure successful delivery - Influence product strategy through strong design rationale and customer advocacy - Mentor junior designers and contribute to raising the design bar across teams - Define and document design patterns that can scale across multiple products - Balance customer needs with technical constraints while maintaining a high bar for quality - Present work to senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively About the team You'll join a dynamic, growing UX team within the AWS Agentic organization that supports each other's development and is passionate about creating exceptional developer experiences. Our team includes designers and researchers across the Kiro product suite. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
